It would be hard to find a voice that captures the mood of a song more perfectly than this one. It's the voice that soars with inspiration, soul and warmth. In a distinguished career spanning more than 35 years Daryl Braithwaite is one of Australia's award winning premier performers.

 

His initial success as a singer came with Sherbet, a band which will forever remain in the history books of Australian music.

 

Following the success of Sherbet Daryl returned to the Australian Music Scene in a very big way as a solo performer in 1988 with the release of the phenomenally successful Album 'Edge' which spent well over a year in the national charts.

 

Although hard to follow, Daryl's second album, 'Rise', released in 1990 proved to be equally successful becoming the biggest selling album in 1991 attaining multi platinum status. 'Rise' produced two further hit singles 'Rise' and 'The Horses' #1 in May 1991 and maintaining the no #1 position for three consecutive weeks before going on to achieve platinum status.

Following sold out shows in 2009, diesel will embark on series 2 of Under the Influence. Utilising the same theme, he will take to the stage honoring other prominent artists who have left a footprint on his artistry.

 

Whilst showcasing the immense talents of Neil Young, Jimi Hendrix and Otis Redding, Diesel will also perform songs from his own catalogue to connect and reveal how these artists have influenced his musical journey.

 

In QLD, Diesel will be performing solo. This tour is a rare opportunity to experience Diesel, his music and the artists & songs that have made an indelible mark on him.
